Last but not least, because of its small size it can fit almost anywhere you like.

Chatsworth Gardens and its "Revelation" Water Display

“Revelation,” the newest inclusion to the ornamental garden fountains of Chatsworth, was designed by recognized British sculptor Angela Conner. In celebration of the Queen’s 80th birthday celebration, she was mandated by the deceased 11th Duke of Devonshire to make a limited edition bust of Queen Elizabeth made of brass and steel in 2004. In 1999 Revelation was set up in Jack Pond, one of Chatsworth’s first ponds. Alternatively concealing and revealing a gold colored globe at the sculpture’s center, the steel water feature takes the shape of four large flower petals which open and close with the flow of water. A gold dust painted metal globe was made and incorporated to the prominent sculpture standing five meters in height and five meters in width. This newest water feature is an exciting and unique addition to the Gardens of Chatsworth, because the motion of flower petals is totally powered by water.

The Various Styles in Garden Water Fountains

Gardens allow you to escape into nature and be outside whenever you want. While it is not a simple undertaking to build one, you will be grateful you did once you are able to relax and enjoy it. The value of your home will appreciate with a lovely garden area, as it will enhance the “curb appeal” of the property. Experts advise adding flowers or trees, a pavement, a lovely water feature, or unique statues to enhance the overall look of your property.

The visual appeal of any garden can be really improved by just adding a water fountain. Where you once had a simple area, you will now have an outdoor wonderland.

You are not the only one who will love the serenity the sounds of the water create; you might also notice an increase in the number of birds and other friendly critters visiting. All eyes will now be focused on the dazzling fountain.

Keep Your Fountain Clean

It is essential to carefully maintain water fountains for them to function optimally. It is easy for foreign objects to find their way into outdoor fountains, so keeping it clean is essential. Another factor is that water that is exposed to sunlight is susceptible to growing algae. In order to avoid this, there are some simple ingredients that can be poured into the water, such as vinegar, sea salt, or hydrogen peroxide. Bleach can also be mixed into the water, however this is not the ideal option because it can hurt birds or other animals.

A thorough cleaning every three-four months is recommended for garden fountains. The first task is to empty out all of the water. When you have done this, scrub inside the water reservoir with a gentle detergent. Feel free to use a toothbrush if needed for any stubborn crevasses. Do not leave any soap deposit in or on the fountain.

Some organisms and calcium deposits can get inside the pump, so it is recommended to take it apart and clean it completely. To make it less challenging, soak it in vinegar for several hours before cleaning. If you want to remove build-up in your fountain, use rain water or mineral water versus tap water, as these don’t contain any ingredients that will stick to the inside of the pump.

Finally, be sure to have a quick look at your fountain every day and add water if you see that the level is low. If the water level slides below the pump’s intake level, it can harm the pump and cause it to burn out - something you don't want to happen!
