That said, there are plenty that only have room for a little display with which to create an impressive and lasting statement.

New customers who have a good impression of your organization is really the aim in this case. An appealing garden fountain is like having a welcoming committee for new clients outside your company at all times.

Archaic Greek Artistry: Large Statuary

The first freestanding sculpture was developed by the Archaic Greeks, a recognized achievement since until then the only carvings in existence were reliefs cut into walls and pillars.

Kouros figures, statues of young, attractive male or female (kore) Greeks, made up the greater part of the sculptures. The kouroi were seen by the Greeks to represent beauty and were sculpted with one foot leading and an uncompromising stiffness to their forward-facing poses; the male statues were always strapping, brawny, and undressing. Life-sized versions of the kouroi appeared beginning in 650 BC. A huge age of modification for the Greeks, the Archaic period helped bring about newer forms of state, expressions of artwork, and a higher appreciation of people and cultures outside of Greece. However|Nevertheless|Nonetheless}, the Greek civilization was not slowed down by these challenges.

Eye-Catching Garden Tiered Water Fountains

Fountains with multiple tiers can be found just about anywhere and have been displayed in gardens for many years. Mediterranean countries such as Italy and Spain generally have many tiered fountains. While they can be seen anywhere, they are most typical in the center of building complexes and in popular areas where people gather. Impressive carvings can be found on some of the most sophisticated tiered fountains, while others have less complex designs.

People love to showcase them in areas having a more traditional look and feel. It should seem as if the fountain has been part of the decor since the beginning and should blend in accordingly.

What Water Features Add to Your Well-Being

Not only do outdoor fountains add beauty to any area, they also provide pleasant sounds and cleaner air. They offer many health benefits and create a lovely setting to entertain loved ones. That said, once you install your fountain you will likely notice the myriad benefits it provides to only you. Perhaps it takes you back to a certain place you once visited. It might just make you think back to a special person from your past. Or perhaps you want to install one in memory of someone you have lost. Regardless, it will be yours and yours alone and also contribute so much to your world.

The Garden of Chatsworth and its Spectacular Cascading Fountain

The Cascade garden fountain forms an amazing garden decoration at the back of Chatsworth House. Twenty-four irregularly spaced stone steps reach down the hillside for 200 yards in the direction of the residence. Founded on a 17th century French concept, the Cascade is also totally gravity fed. This water fountain has been kept unmodified after being designed for the first Duke of Devonshire in 1696. The Cascade House rests at the peak of the fountain where water spills downward. The residence, embellished on the outside with sea creatures in bas-relief, is a small-scale construction. Before continuing down the Cascade, on special occasions water pressure to the Cascade can be increased, causing the Cascade House to become a part of the Cascade spectacle, as water passes through ducts on its roof and from the mouths of its carved marine creatures. The sounds of the water falling fluctuates as it descends down the Cascades mainly because of the small variation in the size of each step thereby supplying a fantastic and restful accompaniment to a trek through the gardens. In 2004, Chatsworth's Cascade was named the best water feature in England.
